CHAPTER 19-   "ACHIEVEMENT OF VOCATIONAL GOALS"

921. Our THOUGHTS DETERMINE the extent to which we MANIFEST
our TALENTS & ABILITIES.
They set the QUALITY & QUANTITY of our SUCCESSES & failures.
922. It is our FEELINGS that DETERMINE the kind of THINKING
that WILL LEAD TO SUCCESS or failure in any endeavor.
923. FEELINGS ARE THE KEY.
924. FEELINGS DETERMINE THOUGHTS.
925. THOUGHTS DETERMINE OUTCOMES.
926. When we LOOK WITHIN, we see the FEELINGS that PREVENT OUR SUCCESS.
Ex: self-doubt, insecurity, inadequacy, & DESIRE for approval.
927. SELF-DOUBT blocks the very recognition we seek.
928. Once we see the COST OF NEGATIVE FEELINGS,
We become WILLING to LET GO of the cheap little satisfaction
we get from BLAMING OTHERS for our LACK OF SUCCESS.
929. Positive Feelings Related To Work:
These are always felt as pleasant feelings such as Joy, Happiness, & Security.
930. POSITIVE FEELINGS flow naturally when negative feelings are not in action.
931. There have been MUSICIANS who came into a SUDDEN BREAKTHROUGH
as soon as a NEGATIVE BELIEF was RECOGNIZED & SURRENDERED.
932. The energy field of CREATIVE GENIUS is available.
933. There are 3 Levels of Consciousness: Inert, Energetic, & Peaceful.
934. The first state is "Inertia" - the emotional levels of Apathy, Grief, & Fear.
The nature of our thoughts are "I don't know," "I'm not sure," & "I don't think I can."
935. NEGATIVE THOUGHTS & FEELINGS are flowing, it is difficult for us to arrive
at any DECISION. We opt to stall the decision UNTIL WE FEEL BETTER.
936. The NEGATIVE FEELING state is the "GARBAGE IN,"
& the decisions that come out of it must be on the same level.
937. The second state is "Energetic" - the emotional levels of Desire, Anger, & Pride.
938. Things are accomplished, there is unevenness of performance because of the mixture
of positive & negative thoughts & ideas.
939. NEGATIVE FEELINGS such as DESIRE, or "PROVING ONESELF" tend to drive
the "go-getter," & DECISION MAKING IS COMPULSIVE or IMPULSIVE.
940. Personal SELF-GAIN is the primary MOTIVATING FACTOR.
941. "Solar Plexus Chakra": Seeking to Attain Success & to master the world.
SELF-CENTERED & driven by PERSONAL MOTIVES, with LITTLE CONCERN FOR
THE WELFARE OF OTHERS. Because their DECISIONS benefit primarily THEMSELVES,
Their success is limited.
942. The third state is the "PEACEFUL STATE"
- the emotional levels of Courage, Acceptance, & Love.
943. An inner state of PEACE brings forth ideas that SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
The mind is FREE OF WORRY.
944. From this state come solutions to problems because EVERYONE BENEFITS.
945. Often, SURRENDERING to what appears to be an IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION
QUICKLY TURNS into a POSITIVE EXPIERENCE.
946. Example: Sales were slow; she hadn't made a sale in weeks.
She tried visualization, positive thinking, positive affirmations; however, nothing came of it.
947. She just LET GO & SURRENDERED all of her EFFORTING, TRYING, & STRIVING.
948. She felt at PEACE. Within the first hour, she sold 2 copies.
949. She expierenced SUCCESS with INNER SURRENDER.
950. Within 6 months, sales increased by 33%.
951. SUCCESS is related to our ABILITY TO CONCENTRATE,
to keep our ATTENTION on ONE THING AT A TIME.
952. A mind that is CONCENTRATED ON A POSITIVE THOUGHT has the POWER
to INCREASE the LIKELIHOOD that the positive thought will MATERIALIZE IN THE WORLD.
953. The MOST SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE in the world HOLD IN MIND THE HIGHEST GOOD
OF ALL CONCERNED, including themselves.
954. They KNOW that there is a WIN-WIN SOLUTION TO EVERY PROBLEM.
955. They do WORK which THEY LOVE, they feel CONTINUALLY INSPIRED & CREATIVE.
956. HAPPINESS is a by-product of doing WHAT THEY LOVE.
957. PERSONAL FULFILLMENT comes from their
POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TO THE LIVES OF OTHERS.
